Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Died in an LA Vehicle Accident
Vince Zampella, who helped create the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.
Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.
The influential game designer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a highway in LA on Sunday, as reported by.
"This represents an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his family, and all those touched by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
