How do you improve a stellar veteran squad who have claimed consecutive titles, including a double triumph with 30 wins from 32 games?

A Greater Manchester club has an non-professional veterans team with 9 former top-flight players in their present squad.

Two Hundred Twenty-Two Top Division Goals, 325 Global Appearances

Wythenshawe Vets Over 35s are situated in southern the city and play in the Cheshire Veterans Division Premier Division.

"That running is what I'm seeking. It's enjoyable."

Along with Cisse's 6 goals on debut, Stephen Ireland has scored 8 in three appearances for the side, while Boyd scored five on his first appearance and Lescott, a centre-half by position, notched a hat-trick in one game as a striker.

Wythenshawe are top of the Premier Division with three wins from three and a goal difference of plus nineteen.

Paul Barrow, 38, who features on the wing for the opposition, came up against former Wigan full-back Figueroa on Sunday - and had to tell his nine-year-old boy who Heskey was.
